Reopening a case/changing an order

There’s supposed to be some sort of clause or rule that says that if circumstances that would have had impact in proceedings happen within a certain period after a court order the case can be reopened or the order changed.

I think in one of example I read about (which was rather nasty) one ex-spouse lost a parent and inherited a lot of money whereupon the other ex-spouse claimed a part of the inheritance.

Can someone of you legally trained people help me with what I’m after here?

Also how long is that time period normally?

Answering my own question, I think it’s a Barder event I’m referring to! Will start a new thread with the correct header.
