Child contact arrangements

What do I need to do to get a contact arrangement for my ds and ex?

Currently ex sees ds every week but swaps days about to work around current gf schedule and ds is getting annoyed. Ex won't listen to either of us so I want to make it legal so he will stop upsetting ds.

Ds is 12, whenever ex gets a new gf this happens. We've always just gone with it but now ds is annoyed with him, and misses him!

So what do I do? Contact a solicitor I'm guessing?

I am afraid child contact arrangements don't work like that. I am subject to an order that I make my gs1 available eow which I always abide by. However, his father certainly does not turn up for his overnight contact. The order is for me to make the child available, not that he attends contact. Sad but true.

I can see you want consistency for your child and that is to your credit but an order will not solve this issue. You cannot order him to attend.

I am sorry for your ds who will form his own opinion. As the court said in our case, I will be left picking up the pieces.
