Neighbour has cctv pointing in my garden

Can I ask him to remove it? It's pointing away from his property into the back of my garden. It's on the roof of his garage so can't see how it's doing anything apart from looking at my house. I'm not that interesting but I can't see of any reason for it to be there.

He's not allowed to point it at people's property. I'd ask him to point it away.

yes it sound only be pointing in to his property, he's not allowed to point it at anyone elses.

PrincessPlod · 19/08/2017 01:10

As others have said only his own property but if you are concerned as him directly to see the view of camera. If he refuses you could contact police saying you think your neighbour s recording you. They would then need to check footage but this could bring a bad feeling between you and neighbour.

I don't want to be pedantic but someone pointed it out tonight at a BBQ I hadn't really noticed before. But now looking at it properly I can't see how it covers his property at all. If anything the road at the back of his house and my garden.

Just say you think it might have got Knocked by a bird and that he might want to move it back to facing his property, he will feel awkward and move it hopefully!
