Overnight babysitters

I work nights. I am in the process of selling my house

My ex had said that if he is staying at our house, he will look after the children. If he isn't staying then I need to use childcare but it cant be in our jointly owned house as he doesn't want any overnight guests

Can he do that? Or can I have whoever I like to stay over to look after our children while I'm working?

I was thinking of my best friends (I'm single so not asking about a new partner, just an overnight baby sitter)

Is he still living there?

Because it's 'jointly owned' he could come in at any time and be rude to whoevers there. My ex did this.

It's jointly owned yes

But he will be a 5 hour drive away

You can equally have people there. Doesn't stop him turning up and being a dick though.
