Contact order court dates

Hi
My DS's father told me via text a few months ago that he will be applying for a contact order. Now, I have tried my best to factiliate contact between my ex and my DS but my ex is more interested in using our DS to further harass and antagonise me. My son is now 10 years old and after a period where I was literally being stalked by my ex and his friends, I moved and stopped contact.

My DS's father has a history of violence and has convictions of assault against me.

I didn't give my ex my new address for obvious reasons, although he has my other contact details. He text me to say he had applied through court for a contact order. He hasn't updated me on the court date or any info since then.

I'm willing to participate in proceedings but I absolutely can't give my ex my new address. My problem is that he is very malicious and manipulative and I wouldn't put it past him to give the court a fake address to claim I refused to turn up on the court date. I doubt he would be honest and inform the court he doesn't have my address, so I'm wondering how to stay one step ahead in this matter and make sure im informed by the court of any dates to attend court.

I've contacted the local family court and inquired about what to to in my situation. So we'll see but I'm wondering if anyone here would be able to advise me further.

Contact CAFCASS. If he has issued they will have details and with a bit of looking can find it without case numbers etc.

If he doesn't know your address he would have needed to fill in an additional form in order for the court to gain permission from other parties to disclose your address (i.e. your work place, bank, DWP, etc). This normally takes a few weeks before the court can process an application, so that may be the reason why you haven't heard anything yet.

There is a form you can fill in to prevent him from knowing your address, it is the C8 and you can submit it once you recieve a copy of his court application form.

They can, but unfortunately they don't always manage to do so.
