Am currently sat in Lincoln hospital with dh who has severe food poisoning. We ate out at a Harvester last night and the hosp is convinced this is what gsve him the poisoning. Should I raise this as a formal complaint to the restaurant or the food standards agency?

The hospital can not be 100% sure. There would be need to be tests etc.

Personally i would contact environmental health first.

We had a restaurant for a while. One grouod complained about food poisioning and threatened us with environmental health if we didnt pay up. Dh explained to them they should report it to them, as he would be doing.

Thankfully the restaurant was full that night and when contacted no one else was ill at all. Environmental health came out and did a full inspection and gave us the all clear.

Less 12 hours for food poisioning is very quick and there is likely a lot of other sick people.
