I'm pretty clueless about all this.

Basically I was hit from behind whilst we were both stationary at a red light, well I was!
I was hit by a vehicle considerably larger than mine.

I'm currently signed off work due to whiplash and back pain, have a courtesy car whilst mine is off being sorted or whatever.

I've dealt only my own insurance company, and their personal injury lawyers have been on the phone about claims etc.

At minimum I'd like my wages covered is that reasonable expectation??

What happens in this sort of thing??
I've never had an accident of any sort before, so I don't quite know quite to expect.

Thanks

AFAIK Wages are normal if you don't get full sickness pay.

On top of car repairs and courtesy car, mine claimed back for Physio (I didn't have to pay and claim back) and medical appts inc travel expenses, parking etc, medication (even paracetamol), travel expenses for medical assessments, and then a personal injury claim itself that they estimated based on injury, and the impact on day to day life. They also claimed a "pay" for family members that came to help me out with childcare while I was recovering and for replacement child car seats.

Don't be in too much of a hurry to settle.
Most whiplash resolves pretty quickly.
But not all.

Driving is a bit of an issue , I can, but not for too long , ten minutes of driving max before I start to get uncomfortable.

Accident was nearly two weeks ago now. It took a week for me to even attempt driving again.

Handily the courtesy car is a lot posher than mine and has a padded armrest which I'm using to lean on a bit.

I don't want to come across as money grabby, but equally I'd be at work if this guy hadn't hit me.
