Vodafone and bt!

Hope I'm posting in correct forum, if not please advise..
Firstly bt have been utterly useless over the years and we're finally going to end our contract with them
On 2.8.17, however, I cannot find anywhere to email them the notice they legally require. It seems to be purposefully difficult. Please help!!

Now Vodafone. Due to being rural, and issues with bt I have a business contract due to end Jul 18. It costs me a lot each month and has never been reliable in that I can't always make or receive calls, texts etc, so quite useless. The signal is excellent so it's not that. I took it back Dec 16 and they changed the sim. It made no difference. I should have returned but didn't, you know, job, children, busy, not my priority etc. Then I go and drop my phone and smash the screen, but can still use, just. I've. Even to Vodafone today and they say they cannot help at all until their engineers look at it and fix screen at a cost of 175-225. They will not consider fault before so I'm stuck with an unreliable phone that costs a lot

Suggestions please, suck it up and get rid of contract next July 18 or do something else, but what?

I don't want to pay 175-225 for a phone that has never worked correctly anyway and I'm not insured.

Or call 0800 800 150 (Residential) or 0800 800 152 (Business) in either case state you want "Customer Options"

You will prob be offered new deals but if you want to leave just say but BT will cease you services leaving you with nothing - if you are changing service providers call the new company tell them you want to move and they will deal with BT on your behalf

Are you actually in contract with BT?

If you have a line rental saver you wont get what is left refunded.

Otherwise - decide on your new provider, contract with them and they will do the switch. Be aware that even if all goes well you will be without phone and broadband for most of the switch day.

As to the Vodafone part, I would get yourself an unlocked phone, whack the SIM in that and see if you're still having problems. Something like a Motorola G5 will cost less than the screen repair.

The iPhone Vodafone is business and is in contract til July 18

With BT just wait until you are closer to the end of the contract and go with another supplier. They will contact BT, you don't have to. We've just moved to Sky and didn't contact BT ourselves. We were outside the contract term though. If you leave BT before your contract is up you will need to fulfil the contract, i.e. pay the line rental and broadband charges until the end date.

Because the screen is cracked the warranty on the phone is void. Most phone manufacturers have the same policy.

By a cheap phone and make sure you give the 30 days notice to cancel in time.

Got it. Keep an eye out for deals and arrange new broadband/phone a couple of weeks before BT contract expiry, with the new service to start on or after 3rd Aug . as mentioned , speak only to the new supplier who will sort the changeover.

Going rate for line rental and broadband is £20-£25 a month, about £8 more if you want anytime landline calls. Several suppliers also throw in calls to mobiles.

No bt email address! We are not going to have a landline and have just set up with a company who specialises in rural broadband via satellite. We now have fast broadband. Thanks for all the advice. Gutted about Vodafone and my iPhone tho! That'll teach me x
