Advice on children matters

My partner has applied to court for a child arrangements order, as well as a variation of the original financial order to have to spousal maintenance adjusted to something he can afford to pay (it's way too high for his current income right now)

His ex has involved the children heavily in all the adult matters since the separation, down to details about finances (he's not giving them enough) and why they split up (all daddy's fault).

She has now involved the children again, told them they need to sell the house and move somewhere far away and leave all their friends behind etc. because iof what daddy's done. She has also cut contact with the children's grandmother due to the upset her son has caused. My partner just realised the children aren't "just not answering" when he tries to contact them, he's actually been blocked on their phones.

Is there anything he can do about this situation while he waits for the first hearing, which is 6 weeks away?

Also, can anyone advise on how to best address this behaviour of the children's mother with the court/cafcass?

All help appreciated!

How old are the children? The older they get the more "say" they get. It will be upsetting for them to leave their house and friends maybe the mother wants to orepare them for it? Not sure it's for you to judge how much and what she telks the children. I think children beed to kniw money doesnt come from trees!

People who use their children as weapons are pathetic in my book.

If she is withholding contact for malicious purposes then she will be found out by the court.

Getting to her ex means more to her than the welfare of her children.

The money will only be reduced if he can show a genuine need for it to be reduced.

When people start tampering with child contact court is the only way to go.
