Deed of trust

Can anyone tell me if a deed of trust can be amended, please? Is there any way of doing this with minimum cost implications ?

I gave a family member some money towards a property with the idea that if the property is sold, this money comes back to me. I wish to give them some further financial support under the same proviso so the basis of the deed will remain the same but the numbers change.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes it can. You both need to be party to a deed of variation.

Thank you. Can you give me a very approximate idea of what this might cost, please? I'm in the East of England.

I wouldn't know, as it's not my area of expertise. Ring around.
