Jury service start times

My summons says to arrive at 9am on the first day when I will be told what time to attend the next day.

But I will need to organise someone to take DD to school if it is a 9am start again, but won't need to if it is a 10am start.

Does anyone know what time jurors are expected to attend day 2 onwards?

It was 10 to 4 for us. It sometimes ran over at the end if they were at an important bit, but was 10 am start.

It was a piss easy 10 to 4 for me, but sounds safest to organise child cover just in case.

Ring them. It may vary.

I would ring or write to them and explain that you have to drop your child at school but you could be there for eg 9.20 or something and ask if that would be OK. I believe you might also be able to claim for childcare, have a look at www.gov.uk/jury-service/what-you-can-claim
