Refused flexible working Scotland

Hi all looking for advice please. I'm in Scotland, baby is 6 months old. I applied to go back part time, they had 3 months to respond and have said no. I have a week to appeal, is it worth it?

Try reposting on the employment board but my understanding is that you can request flexible working but your employer only has to consider it but don't have to grant it. I suppose there would be no harm in appealing but if they've turned it down once they may well do again
