Order of Sale during divorce proccedings

Hello, I am desperate for advice and am hopeful that someone out there can help me!!

In June 2015 I left the family home (joint mortgaged) with my 4 year old Son. We moved into rented accommodation, leaving my now estranged husband in the house. The choice was based on physical safety, following a physical assault that occurred in the previous November (not the first).

In May 2016 I applied for a divorce. I am still waiting to hear the outcome / progress of this.

I want to apply for an order of sale. Once the house is sold it will leave us each with approximately £25k, enough for me to put a deposit down on somewhere else for me and my now 5 year old.

I have absolutely no idea where to start? What form do I need to fill in??
I am trying hard to try to do as much as possible without the costly service of solicitors, until it gets nastier!!

Any advice would be very much appreciated...
Thanks in advance x

You need to complete a Form A and send that to the court together with a cheque for £215. You'll be claiming an exemption from MIAM (mediation related) under the ground of domestic violence and you'll have to pick the paragraph under part 3a that is most suitable.

That starts the whole court process.
