How to access historical court records?

Does anybody know if there is a way to access court records from the 1980's? They involved me as a child and I would like to know what happened? I haven't really found anything online it's a bit confusing. Could I use the freedom of information act??
Thanks in advance.

I think you can only access stuff that was reported in the paper .. Sadly

I have no idea I'm afraid, if it was I guess only local papers but not that likely? He was convicted of that helps but that's pretty much all I know.

You could try making a data protection request: www.judiciary.gov.uk/foi/
