refund for bed broken after several months?

I bought my daughter a bed late last year online.

It has broken - gave way unexpectedly. The company have offered me replacement parts (several parts of the frame have cracked!) or credit. They say it isn't a manufacturing fault.

I'd prefer a refund. Am I within my rights? TIA

I'm afraid not.

As you've had the bed more than 30 days the company can offer a repair or replacement if it was faulty. If you've had it more than 6 months it is up to you to prove the bed was faulty when delivered. If you accept a repair the seller has one shot at repairing it. If the repair is unsuccessful you can demand a refund but the seller is entitled to deduct some money for the use your daughter has had of the bed.

Ok, thanks. Will take the offer of credit.
