Enforcing judgments

A friend has got judgment for a small claim she took through the county court. The only address she has for the debtor is a home address, and she's worried the bailiffs won't be able to do anything to enforce it if they only come during normal working hours, as the debtor will be out at work at that time. Does anyone know whether bailiffs will attend at weekends or in the evenings to overcome this problem?

Usually the threat of bailiffs is enough to make them pay if they've got it. I'd go for a charge on their house tbh

This person has ignored absolutely every attempt to get her to pay, so the threat of bailiffs on its own is unlikely to make her pay up. We suspect if they turn up on her doorstep she'll produce the money there and then, but it's a question of finding her when she's in.

I found a Citizens Advice website which says they can operate between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m, but it's not clear whether they actually do. I guess my friend needs to try to make contact with the bailiffs' office to see if she can ask them to turn up in the evening, which seems likely to be the best time in this particular case.

I don't know how much money it is but if you have the ccj I'm not sure if waste money on bailiffs if the can't catch her in its not their fault and they still want paying. I'd wait until the ccj is causing her problems and it will then she'll pay.
