without requesting it to be urgent, although we've had no contact at all with DS(13) now for over 6 weeks. Can I ring the court to ask if it can be marked urgent? I didn't realise that being denied all contact would qualify the application to be an urgent case.

There's nothing to stop you trying.

I did ring them - and they were kind enough to have a look to see what was going on - it's been accepted, but they said they have a backlog of cases and there are about 30/40 cases in front of ours, and that it would be another two-three weeks before I got a phone call to pay for it.
Does this mean that they're now passing it to CAFCASS or will they wait until it's been paid for?
