Granddad passed away a few months ago, no contact with the family other than him distantly due to family rift ( my mother, his daughter). I've just had a quick search on ' Find a will or probate ' and a record has come up with his details.
I'm not sure if ordering it will answer any questions for me.
Id like to know if he left anything for me and my brothers at all, what his wishes were etc.
What would ordering this document show me?

You'll get a copy of the probate ( that's just a piece of paper naming the executor and giving authority for that person/s to deal with your grandfathers estate ) and a copy of the will which will list beneficiaries and what they've been left .

So that would answer your questions .

Yes. gingeroots is correct. Amounts are not shown if it's under the Inheritance Tax threshold which is 325k at the moment I believe.
