Executors - is it possible in NZ for UK will?

I've had a will for years but finally persuaded DH that making one isn't an immediate death wish so we are updating. In the intervening time my DSis has become a New Zealand resident and so the only people we would ask to be executors are from DH's family. This is - on the whole - fine. BUT...I feel like I would like DSis to be involved. Is it possible to name her as executor? She's up for doing it but I don't want to give her the most impossible job. Any advice welcome.

Not a good idea. Being halfway round the world would make it difficult for her to be involved. She could agree at the time no have her power reserved (in other words, she doesn't take up the appointment but can change her mind if she wishes), but personally I'd find someone closer to home.

Can't you just use a solicitor? Would have to pay though I think.
