My partner has mental health issues. At the moment he is in mania. He has left the family home and is talking of buying a property in a very expensive part of the country. I seriously think he is going to remortgage/remove equity from the family home. There is £200,000 approx of equity. I have been in touch with land registry although they want to help and put a restriction on the title they are unsure of the correct form for me to fill in. We are married and joint tenants, the house is owned in both names equal split.
Any advice greatly appreciated. The current mortgage lender has been informed and I have signed up to the land register property alert service
