Garage have had my car for 4 months

Brought a second hand 09 car from a dealer and have had nothing but problems so decided to go to a local independant. In march tbe battery was discharging over night and haveing to be jump started drove car to independant garage and it is still there. They dont return my calls and the only explanation I have had is that is a computer part. Car now no longer starts either apparently. Where do I stand legally?

I don't know about the legality.

But I would have it taken to a main dealer to deal with as the independent has not managed to fix it and has actually made matters worse. I would suggest that they transport it as it was partially working before they had it. Put something in writing to them with a deadline by which you expect them to have fixed it or transferred to the garage you have arranged to take it.

Do not pay any bills at this stage.
