We travelled to a near by city, for a day to have a relaxed weekend. Towards the end of the day when we were leaving,at a junction the traffic was moving but quiet slowly. This man pulls up next to our car on the passenger side & started hurling Racist abuses at me ( F* Paki , B**h) I was stumped but managed to roll my window down completely to get my head out to confront him. He murmured few more venomous words & drove off. I took the registration number & called 101 straight away. Was advised to go to the nearest Police station & report it. Upon reaching the police station & waiting for approximately half an hour was called in to give a statement. After I narrated the incident briefly to the PC she turned around to say " what do you want us to do " ? I insisted that it should be investigated & that this incident has left me feeling very scared & low. She took the statement half heartedly & during the questioning she didn't even once & I repeat even once try to reassure me that it's ok or we will try to sort this. Statement finished, advised if it went to court I would have to come down & done. I know this is not the biggest crime & police has got more pressing issues. The fact remains that it still has had an impact on a person. I am not happy with the way the matter was dealt with & want advice about how to take it further.
