Hi we are in the early stages of sorting out who pays what. I am still living in the house with our two children, and are splitting the bill's dependant on income percentage. He is saying his salary can inky ve considered when tax/ni/ pensions have been taken off, is this correct?

Of course he is correct. Be aware though he doesn't have to pay anything but maintenance. He will have to rehouse himself. Mortgage and bila for house should fall to you

Only take off pensions in the event that either you are both paying a similar amount in, or he's got no option but to contribute to his works final salary scheme. I assume you're married and getting divorced, in which case pensions are up for grabs.
