Child born in Tenerife - birth registered there.

Parents both British nationality, unmarried at registration and separated a year later.

Child holds British nationality.

Does the father hold PR?

No. Fathers getting PR due to being on the birth certificate only applies to births registered in the UK.

That's what suddenly dawned on my last night! DS is nearly 11. Hasn't seen his father for 8 years and stupid me has always assumed he had PR!

Will be so much better for him not to have it!
