Hi

I live in an ex-mod property and we have to pay a maintenance charge for sewersgrasscutting paths etc as they have never been adopted. I changed banks and got in a pickle with the direct debits to pay..........the bill was only about £100 at the time but as payment wasn't received they've added over £500 for debt collection.........my calculations I have paid up to date plus interest and admin fees but I think this £500 is extortionate.......can I refuse to pay it?
I've had a letter from court bailiffs saying they're coming to seize good but I've never had a summons or anything........does anyone know where I stand?
