Does anybody know if police recording tapes are destroyed once a simple caution had been administered?
Also is it possible for employers to get copys of the interview tapes if they are not destroyed?
Thanks

Employers can never get copies of interview tapes. All an employer can ever find out is that you were cautioned and the nature of the offence. No other details would be released to them.

I don't believe the tapes are destroyed, but prh47 is right, there is no way an employer could get a copy of the tapes.

How long ago was it? That has a bearing

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/04/2015 12:55

of course an employer cannot get hold of the tapes!
unless the employer is eg the Met or something

The recordings would only be released of a court orders it.
