Removing an executor of a will and eviction

Has anyone experience of removing an executor from a will? I'm buying a property inherited by 3 people. The property was their Mother's house and she passed away nearly 3 years ago. One of the executors is still living in the property, and although she agreed to marketing the property and allowing our survey to take place, she is being difficult about moving out. The other 2 executors have made the decision to have her removed as an executor and legally evicted, as they want the sale to procceed quickly. My question is, has anyone any knowledge of how long it takes to remove an executor and/or have them evicted?

It takes time and is hugely stressful for all parties. A situation like this in my family delayed a sale for about a year.

Oh goodness. They've had the legal process in place for a couple of months now & have said it will run alongside the sale which we hope to complete on in may. Once you got your legal process going, how long did it take you?

I wasn't directly involved.
IIRC the house was empty and sale completed in August, court hearing and eviction order was about April with a July deadline . But offer was accepted on the house the preceding autumn with the expectation that house would be empty in spring, which proved not to be the case..
