Bank repossession of house

Hi I'm asking some advice on behalf of a friend.

She has been struggling to pay her mortgage for the past 18 months. I knew she had been struggling financially but not to this extent.

She has had a court summons a from the bank because she can't afford the repayment plan they have offered. She has made an offer hut it was declined.

My question is what kind of solicitor will she need to see/represent her?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense I'm completely clueless.

We are in Scotland if that makes a difference.

Also if anyone could recommend a solicitor in Edinburgh who could help that would be appreciated.

Has she made an appointment with the Citizen's Advice Bureau?

Initially she should contact one of the free debt advice charities - stepchange are brilliant, and they will guide her through the process. Is she hoping to keep the house? Does she have a lot of equity in it?

She should speak to citizens advice and go from there
