How do I choose solicitor to write will?

Ashamed to say that neither husband or I have written our wills and need to urgently do these as we have 2 young dc.
How do I go about it? Any recommendations of a firm in sw london area? We don't have too many complications re our assets etc but I do want issues relating to who brings up the children if we both die given careful consideration as we have close family living on 2 different continents. Is this done in a will or in a letter of wishes? Many thanks for any advice.

I will! She did mine and my husband's (all over the phone with no difficulty) and we have some slightly complicated stuff that she was very happy to go over with us. And she was very reasonable too. I've recommended her to people that don't even post on MN.

Don't buy one of those 'do your own will' kits - they aren't worth the paper they are printed on legally.
