Continuing Care - Care home stonewalling

Does anyone have any idea how to overcome this?

I am trying to obtain my mother's care home records but the home will not respond to any communication from me or my solicitor, whether by phone, e-mail, fax or letter.

Does anyone have any idea on how to get round this? Surely they have to respond at some point. It's been two years!

I'd contact the Care Quality Commission with details of your request and the Care Home's failure to comply and ask if they can expedite a response.

That's great advice Marylou2 thanks. I'll do that. They stone-walled in the just the same manner when both my mother's and father's jewellery went 'missing' during their stay. Several thousand pounds worth just gone without apology or explanation.
