Would I get I to trouble doing this?

My dogs were attacked by this dog late last year and the police were going to take them to court. But due to them not able to identify which one of the dogs she has that attacked. ( she has several of the same breed and they all look alike) the police were adviced not to proceed. Also she denied all allegations that it ever happened. If I stuck a notice on the park notice board saying that my dogs were attacked, she totally denied to the police all allegations. It's not the first time she has attacked other dogs. And now I am wearing a spy cam on my walks. Would I get into trouble with the law?

Obviously not going into details and names but just a couple of sentences.

You wouldn't get into trouble for it but do you really want to put your dogs at risk? I wouldn't have my dog anywhere near the bloody thing again!
It will probably be inadmissible in court anyhow. A lot of stuff on camera is.
You also might be seen to be exacerbating the situation and putting yourself and your dogs in that situation in order to catch her out. Whatever you get on camera doesn't prove what's already happened. It would be seen as a separate incident.
What breed of dogs does she have?
My border collie was minding her own business sniffing the leaves in the woods the other day and some lunatic black wire haired terrier came flying out of nowhere and bit her I went mental at the owner and it turns out this dog is well known for it! I bumped into another dog owner further down the track and he told me this little black dog was notorious for it.
I was fuming!
Did you have to go to the vets? Were there serious injuries?

The breed is French mastiff. There is an area of the park that I need to walk past to get to the main area and that's where they are usually if I see them. Since there are no CCTV and witnesses I cannot substantiate the attack. I usually walk the dogs very early as I work early. So a spy cam is to record any future evidence.

Yeah it would be worth having it for future incidents. Its a nightmare isn't it? Very worrying. It takes all the pleasure out of dog walking when there are so many irresponsible idiots around. The bloody thing should have a muzzle if its known to attack.
I'm lucky as I can change my walking times and we have so many different places to walk here but I understand that some people are more limited and have to fit their routine around set worktime.
If you see them coming again shout at the owner to put them on a lead. I would be furious at them.

Well it was the second time these dogs have attacked. Mine were on lead and they ran across from a distance. The dogs did not respond to recall. It's a sharp corner to see where they usually are so it's difficult to anticipate, so the same thing can easily happen again. The fact that it took them two mins of hitting to get hold of it. And they were not apologetic and blamed my dogs barking for the incident makes my blood boil. She only gets walks two at a time with her partner. There were at least two attacks that I know off when she had two of these dogs by herself and she had to leg go cos she couldn't hold on.

Stupib bloody woman. I know how you feel coz stuff like that makes my blood boil aswell. Does the dozey mare not realise that her dogs will end up being put down if they carry on attacking like that.
Dyou know what if the owners aren't prepared to put a stop to it then take a bloody tennis racket with you. That's what I'd do. Just say you take it to hit the ball for your dogs lol. I'm sorry but there is no way I'd let some vicious mutt pile into my dog consistently. It should be muzzled or on the lead. Most people would protect their dogs if it came to it. I'd put my life on the line for mine! I've had her nearly 12 years and she is lovely natured.

Yes I would leave a note warning others that her breed of dog had attacked your dog in the area. Just don't mention her name or your name. If someone reads it, then see's that breed, they will hopefully remember and call their dog back and walk away from it. Better safe than sorry. Idiotic woman, you shouldn't have more dogs or a breed of dog that you can't handle

So true wicked lazy. Its all springers and collies and labs where I am with completely the wrong owners. The lack of control is astonishing!!! Some just don't seem to have any common sense! I'm a dog groomer and I see it all the time.

Have you seen the dog harnesses for the go pro cameras? BoyDog has one. The camera is on show, it's a recognised thing, nothing stealthy about it and tou capture anything like bad behaviour from her dogs, your justification is you wanted to see the walk from your dogs view for a laugh (which honestly is why we bought ours - to see what he sees when he's galloping around).

Hidden cameras can be an issue in my understanding. But having a doggy go pro? Lots of people who've seen BoyDog wearing his have been asking to see the footage as they think its cool.

I wouldn't have thought it's any different to filming on a mobile phone during an attack . Are the police following up the attack on the other dog that you posted about recently ?
