Can you take a friend with you into small claims court? And does the other person get told your address? Or can you ask for it to be withheld? (The person has previously hurt me and damaged my property) TIA

When we made a claim against a previous landlord, for a withheld deposit before the schemes, my FiL went in with DH. It was over a decade ago and I didn't complete the form, so I have no idea about the address thing, sorry. If you have concerns about your safety, surely you could raise this with a court official, even if there osn't an obvious answer on the form?

Thanks for your reply two. I'll have to give courts a ring see if they'll allow address etc to be withheld. There's no way I'm risking the other party knowing where I live. Thank you for your help.
