Inheritance

My Stepfather has remarried. Mum left everything to him in her will with myself and sister as beneficiaries of their joint estate upon his death. At the moment am I right in assuming that his new wife would inherit his (and my Mums) estate on his death? Is there anything myself & my sister can do about this? Will probably go to see a solicitor but just wanted an idea of where we stand legally.

If your mother gave him a life interest in her estate with you and your sister inheriting on his death his remarriage will not alter that. However, if she left her estate to him outright it is his to dispose of as he wants regardless of anything it says in her will. This would have been the case even if he had not remarried.
