D8 form divorce approval

How long does it take for a D8 form to be approved generally? I think I have been told about 2 weeks. Does that sound about right? Or can there be delays? My solicitor would then be dealing with serving the papers.

It should be back with your solicitor within 2 weeks unless there is some kind of extraordinary problem at the court. Typical turnaround, assuming the form is correctly completed, is about a week.
