Just wondered if anyone has claimed under this section of law? Were you successful? How did you find the court process? TIA

No, but I assist people throughout this type of application as a McKenzie Friend.

As they are under the ambit of the 1989 Children Act use the Welfare Checklist as your guide.

Can i ask what a Mckenzie Friend is? I'd also like to chat about a Schedule 1 if possible.

Many thanks

The welfare principle does not apply to Schedule 1 applications.

Do people pay you for your "help"?

If you are representing yourself in court, you can be accompanied by a McKenzie Friend who will assist you quietly. They are not allowed to address the court or question witnesses. McKenzie Friends are unregulated and most are not legally trained or qualified.
