Can anyone give us some advice please...my aunt is 68 and is in the UK on an ancestral visa. In retrospect this wasn't the correct visa choice as although she is working over here a bit it is very sporadic and part time.
She is now preparing to apply for her ILR having been here 5 years but is very anxious about checks on her earnings I've th past 5 years as she has mostly been living on savings. Will this be a problem? She does still have some funds but not huge amounts.
As an aside she should have applied as a dependent of her two sons who live in the UK and will provide letters to say they will support her financially, but this is sadly only realised in hindsight.
Could someone advise if they think she will have problems getting the ILR please and what you would suggest.
Any help greatly appreciated.
