How to find out the outcome of a court case

Is there any way of finding out either:

When a case will be heard

And what was the outcome of that case?

I think it's at Magistrate's Court. Everything I found online related to Crown Court.

Also would it be an open court so I could attend if I wanted?

It's actually quite hard even for lawyers to find out what is on in those courts and the outcomes often. is it a criminal case being heard in the magistrate's court? You could probably ring the court and ask.

I would imagine it would be in open court. most cases are unless it's confidential family stuff or secret services.

Anyone can go into court if they like. I used to go as a teenager - it was quite exciting at times.

I think they don't. Some newspapers send journalists to court if they hear about it and if it's a famous person but not otherwise. I suspect most accused criminals will be pretty glad the mag. courts do not publish the details. The High Court publishes the day before where a case will be held and they deliberately do it late in the day so that no one knows in advance which judge will handle it so no one can attempt to threaten that judge by knowing well in advance who it will be.

You should be able to contact the relevant Court
courttribunalfinder.service.gov.uk/courts
You will need the results section, if no separate number, call the main number and ask for results.
They usually have this information available the following day and you will need the defendants name ( and possibly date of birth.)
