Just been sent a new boxed pair of beats solo hd by yodel, I've not brought them but they are in my name and address. I don't have a clue who has sent them as no invoice in the package. What am I supposed to do with them now?

Could it be a gift from someone?

KeeperOfBees · 13/10/2014 12:52

or a competition prize?

icecreamcrackers · 13/10/2014 13:03

Its not a gift because I got married in July and everyone uses my married name. It could be a competition prize I suppose but if I can't track it down what it my legal obligation to look after them before disposal.

I would be suspicious of this.
I am sure I have heard of this sort of thing being a prelude to identity theft.
Could you contact your local police and ask?

InfinitySeven · 13/10/2014 19:28

Legally, you need to keep it safe and in good condition for six years and then you can sell it.

3littlefrogs · 13/10/2014 19:28

If you google "unexpected parcel", loads of similar warnings come up.

Check your credit card - I had this and someone had ordered it fraudulantly, I assume with an aim to intercept the parcel.
