Wills - complicated situation

DH and I need to write our wills.

I have been married before and I have two daughters. 27 and 22. DD1 has her own life etc. DD2 has SEN - autism and global delay and medical problems. She lives with us as she needs keeping an eye on.

I own the house we live in. Mortgage is only 30% of the value of the house. I have a big life insurance policy - to ensure money for DD2s care.

DH loves the kids. He has none of his own.

His will will be simple - everything goes to me.
Mine will be complicated.

I need DD2 to be cared for and have a home but I don't want DH to feel he has to look after her forever ( he says he will as he is her dad - her real dad is no where to be seen) but I worry if he finds someone else he won't want an adult child hanging around- when I try and talk to him about this he gets upset.

I also don't want DH to end up homeless - he needs somewhere to live too. We are planning to put him on the deeds ( it's another thing we need to sort out).

Any ideas what can be done.

You need to go and see a solicitor/qualified will writer this isn't something you can cobble together yourself.

You could give your dh a life interest in the property so he can live in it but on his death it goes to the children. You will probably also want a trust set up for your dd2, there are tax benefits for trusts for sen children.
