What do I need to do/say/bring?

I have information about the house value, mortgage, pensions, income, outgoings. Not all official documents but at least a guideline to give me a starting point.

Will this be useful?

Yikes. Help!

Yes, all the info you mention will be helpful. Most clients' first concern is where they stand financially, and the solicitor should be able to give you a rough idea of the type of deal you'll get, or rather a spectrum from worst case scenario to best ikywim.

They'll also ask for your ID so take your driving licence or passport plus proof of address. If you are definitely going ahead you could also take your marriage certificate as that will eventually form part of the court file.

Thank you. I have no idea where our marriage certificate is :-/

Will take ID though.

Yes, the finance is my main concern!
