Is there a maximum amount you can claim for if you need to use small claims?

I think its 50k. You need to go on the Money Claims Online website, all info it there.
Its really easy to use too.

prh47bridge · 12/09/2014 13:34

The limit is £10k.

christmasclean · 12/09/2014 15:25

Oh that's two different answers. I've been on the website I can't see what the limit is tho

My answer is correct. Click here to see the page on the government's website confirming this.

It depends which jurisdiction you are from, in Scotland it is £3,000 but the minimum is £275.00.

prh47bridge · 13/09/2014 01:19

It is correct that the upper limit for a small claim is lower in Scotland. However, MoralisRubric's statement that there is a minimum of £275 is wrong. There is no minimum regardless of jurisdiction.

In England it was £5000 for years and then went up to £10,000. It is definitely £10k in England.

prh47bridge you are right, training is based on praticle application of weighing up the cost against the value.
