Do you need to be Registered disabled for the DDA to protect you?

It's covered by the equality act now but no, you don't.

You need to meet the legal definition of disabled which can be found here

The answer is no, you do not need to be registered disabled to claim disability discrimination.

Whether you fall into the category of disabled in terms of the Equality Act and if your circumstances of the state of affairs are protected in terms of the Equality Act 2010.
