Cancellation Policies at Holiday Clubs

Does anyone know if the Distance Selling Act or the usual "cooling off" period you get with most contract situations applies when booking holiday clubs? Typically I went and booked a holiday club last week and within 3 days have discovered I no longer need it. In the company's t&cs they state they charge a 30% cancellation charge but just wondering if I get those 7 days you would normally get when buying something like insurance or a mobile contract.

Thanks

Hmmm - well, the following are specifically exempt from the cooling off regulations -

"The supply of accommodation, transport of goods, vehicle rental services, catering or leisure activities for specific dates, for example, hotel and restaurant bookings, theatre tickets and courier services."

So i suspect they could make a good case that you aren't, and you were booking "leisure activities for specific dates."
