Serving Court Documents

I am trying to get a processor to serve divorce papers on my mum's husband who walked out on her 10 months ago. The processor who tried to serve them today was told that he 'went traveling 5 months ago' which I am sure is a lie and someone is covering for him.

The processor has told me to contact our solicitor for advice.

What am I likely to hear from the solicitor oh helpful mumsnet minds? Thank you in advance.

You need to either give the server more info, or come up with an alternate method (eg email or facebook) where you can prove documents will be brought to his attention.
