Fracking Survey ???

Woopsiedaisy · 06/06/2014 21:50

My neighbour has told me tonight that he has given permission to TESLA Exploration International to conduct a 3-dimensional seismic survey on the Farm Drive (which he owns) which leads to my house (I have a right of way).

Has anyone heard of this company?

Is this survey likely to be related to fracking?

Can this company force you to allow them to survey?

I have been told the survey will take two months over July / August, will involve the company laying charges and there are times when I may not be able to use the drive while they are undertaking the charge process.

Help!! i am not sure what I am dealing with here or what rights I have.

No expert but if you have a right of way then you have a right of way and there can't be times where you are not able to use the driveway.
Is the right of way noted on deeds or similar? If so then You need to show a copy to your neighbour and inform him that if he obstructs this he or his agents are breaking the law ( not a lawyer though )

This survey is possibly related to oil/gas exploration - whereabouts in the country are you?

Tesla is indeed involved with seismic testing work for oil/gas exploration. The campaign website Frack Off has lists of local groups. If there's a group near you, they may know of helpful resources.
