Husbands debt and seperation/divorce

My husband and I have decided on a seperation which is probably going to end in divorce, already he is being threatening with regards to money. I have zero debt he has 2 large car loans for 2 of his 3 cars! And a loan for a caravan he decided to buy all purchased/registered in his name, loans in his name approximately £25k total. I am not on the paperwork for any of these finances nor was i consulted re the purchases. he is saying i will be liable for 50% of this debt regardless, can anyone advise if this is the case where the debt is in a single name? Seems ludicrous to be liable for a debt i had no choice in. If i am liable, can he be forced to sell them to pay off the debt? Thanks in advance

The value of the vehicles will offset the debt, and he'll find it hard to justify having 3 cars (& 2 car loans) at the same time as complaining he's skint.
