Asking on behalf on another...but would appreciate some advice...
Friend is being taken to small claims court, they received a letter inviting them to mediation, which they agreed to (in writing), this all happened a couple of weeks ago.
However they have now received a letter confirming court dates, can anyone advise is this just a next step in the process or has mediation been rejected by the other side, and if it has what should friend do, as its the first they've heard of it, they've been waiting for a confirmed date and time to have the mediation meeting.
