change a childs name?

My first lo has no father named on his birth certificate and I want to change his last name to become the same my younger children, anybody got any advice how to go about it? I've looked on the .gov site and find it very confusing. Any advice would be appreciated thanks x

As long as all people with PR agree, so in this case you, and I would write a letter to specify this is the case, you can change it by deed poll either one you put together yourself with witness signatures, you can do it online but not all companies are legit, or you ask a solicitor to draw up the deed pol and pay a few tenners. This then accompanies his birth certificate.
