Advice please on title deeds and home ownership

I need to prove that I owned a house that was sold a few years ago. I believe and recall my name was on the title deeds but this is now under dispute. I have looked at the land registry site and can only see that the current owners appear on title deeds. Is there any way I can get a copy of documentation showing historical ownership? Many thanks.
