Wages not being paid - Agency worker

Where do I stand. I've just found out that im not getting paid tomorrow for last week's work because my time sheet hasnt been approved. When I spoke to the company im working for they checked online and there was no time sheets waiting for approval.

Its the second time this has happened.

Im really annoyed as I've had nothing from the agency to tell me its not been approved. Im the sole earner in our house and it now means I cant pay sons nursery fees or get any food shopping.

Any advice?

Yes, the agency workers regulations state that they cannot reasonably withhold pay just because of an unapproved timesheet. Unfortunately they can delay while they investigate it though.

Hard to advise as I don't know the working relationship between your agency and client but my advice would be to go as high up the food chain with both as you can and keep pushing for at least a payment on account, to be deducted the following week when they process the timesheet.

I had written confirmation (after a grumbling email to agency yesterday) confirming my wages would go into my bank today.
